Title
Existentæ conceptus
Text
Submitted by Samuel Filipe
Source language: Latin

Existentæ conceptus simplicissimus, nomen clarissimum est; plane ut existere quid sit, si definire velis, rem obscuraveris potiùs quàm extra causas esse, omnia aut obscuriora sunt magisque ambigua, aut certe clariora non sunt.
Remarks about the translation
O conceito de existência do teólogo suíço Samuel Werenfels.

Title
The concept of existence...
Translation
English

Translated by Dwayn_
Target language: English

The concept of existence is the most simple, its name the most obvious; certainly if you want to define “to exist” as “what is”, you will darken [it] more than [defining it as] “to be outside its causes”, everything [else, as a definition,] is either darker and more ambiguous, or truly not clearer.
Remarks about the translation
Quite complex as a text, due to the missing punctuation ;)
