A long time since my last post!
There is so much to tell! I will try to do it as quick as possible.

A nice article about cucumis was written by Mickael Arrington founder of the famous techcrunch blog reviewing the new web 2.0 products. Despite the article was quite incomplete about what we are doing here, it was very useful to reveal Cucumis to the entire world. Hundreds of blog articles were posted after this article, Cucumis was even featured on Finnish and French television. I've read many of those articles (those I can understand) and I was very pleased to see that most of the writers who tested the service was very satisfied by the quality of the translations we do here. Congratulations to all translators and, of course, to the great team of experts.

Now the new features.

This is new :
- Until now, cucumis was not designed for people who can't speak a foreign language. Now it is! If you can't translate anything, we give you 300 points every 10 day!
- Who is online, charts about new members every day, and country ratio.
- Translation statistics. Looking at the pie chart of the translations to be evaluated, you can view the languages in which we need experts (Norwegian, Hungarian, Hindi, Swedish, Kurdish, Arabic, Korean, Albanian ...).

This is very new :
All members can now add translations in their favorites. You can view the list of your favorite translations from your profile page, and there is also a top favorite translations list.

This is very very new :
When the experts can't understand the source text of a translation, they still can evaluate the linguistic form of the translation but they can't for the meaning. Now, for the evalutations they can't do alone, they can ask for the opinion of all cucumis.org members. According to the informations of your profile, you will be asked now and then to give your opinion on some translations. After collecting enough votes to make up ones mind, the translation is accepted or rejected.

Major improvements

Hi all, I've added 3 features to Cucumis which are worth being mentioned here.

1. email notification

From now, you can be notified by email when somebody ask for a translation that matches your language preferences. There is a 2 days delay before being notified. This delay give us the time to check the eventual mistakes on the target and source languages and maybe to give the priority to people who often check the website. The functionnality is not fully tested, so you might expect some bugs in the next few weeks.
To use it, simply check the box "Dua te jem i njoftuar me email kur nje kerkese per perkthim i ri perkon me preferencat e mia gjuhesore" on the translation homepage, and submit by clicking on the blue arrow.

2. RSS (Really Simple Syndication)

You can now use the RSS format in your favorite RSS reader to be warned about new available translations mathcing your language preferences. On the requested translations pages (for example this one), you can see the rss icon that links to the rss url. Simply add this url in your rss reader to be daily informed about new translation requests.
Using the netvibes start page (netvibes is one of the best rss reader, I recommend it), this is an example of what you can get :

3. administrators and experts

Until now, translations was to be checked one by one and the load was very high for adminsitrators and experts. Now they can check several translations in one click. I hope we can have more translations checked by our talented experts with this new system, and offer better quality to everybody.

Me shume se 5000 anetare jane regjistruar ne cucumis.org dhe eshte rasti te theksojme qe pa anetaret e saj cucumis.org s'eshte asgje.Fale anetareve te cilet harxhojne kohen e tyre te lire per komunitetin dhe nje falenderim special per ekspertet e cucumis.org te cilet kontrollojne dhe redaktojne te gjitha perkthimet per t'i bere aq mire sa munden.
Duke pritur per anetarin e 10000-te,ka shume pune per te bere ketu,per ta bere paraqitjen me te paster,kerkimin e perkthimeve me te lehte,duke zbuluar seksionin e projekteve dhe gjithashtu seksionin e kurseve te gjuhes...

Te dhenat u rikthyen qe nga 9 janari.Shume perkthime,mesazhe,artikuj wiki dhe anetare jane fshire dhe me vjen keq per kete.Te gjitha pikturat avatars jane fshire po ashtu. I ftoj netaret e fshire qe te regjistrohen serish dhe kam derguar mesazhe ne forume per t'ju rikthyer statusin e tyre (numrat e pikeve,shkalla e ekspertizes etj...).Te gjithe anetaret jane te ftuar te kerkojne piket mrapsht.

shpresoj qe kjo mos ndodhe me sepse me humbi gjithe fundjava per ta rregulluar dhe ende s'e kam mbaruar.

Qfare ka ndryshuar?

- Cucumis.org eshte zhvilluar shpejt saqe tani ka me shume se 1900 anetare me rreth 20 anetare te rinj ne dite.Shume gjuhe te reja jane shtuar te cucumis.org: kineze, hebraishte, suedishte, dhe portugishte braziliane. Nje falenderim te madh per anetaret e cucumis.org qe i kane perkthyer ato.

- Seksioni i projektit eshte ngritur dhe punon por asnjeri nuk e din si funksionon . Se pari ai eshte bere per webmasterat qe deshirojne te perkthejne faqet e tyre te interrnetit. Ato mund te publikojne tekstet qe deshirojne te perkthehen ne cucumis.org dhe te ftojne vizitoret e tyre te perkthejne ne cucumis.org. Cucumis.org do te kete anetare te rinj dhe webmasterat do te kene avantazhin te perfitojne nga motorri i perkthimeve te cucumis.org dhe nga ekspertiza anetareve te cucumis.org.

- Nje program bashkepunimi eshte zhvilluar per te rikompensuar ato qe kane vene nje link ne faqen e tyre personale te interrnetit ose ne blog-et ku flasin rreth cucumis.org. Ne vend qe te perdorni lidhjen klasike http://www.cucumis.org/, ju mund te perdorni kete url: [linkid=w_in_[userid]]. Ç'do perkthim i bere nga nje anetar dhe ju e dergoni tek Cucumis.org me kete adrese interrneti, ju ben qe te fitoni pike shtese(perqidje 5 e kostos e perkthimit). - Motorri wiki eshte ne pune.Disa pjese te faqes kryesore te cucumis.org, detaje, keshilla rreth menyres se perdorimit te kesaj faqe interrnet, ndodhen tani ne artikujt wiki. Artikujt wiki jane me shume fleksibel se filet e gjuhes ne cucumis.org, saqe mund te publikohen ne qdo moment nga qdo anetar. Artikujt wiki te cucumis.org mund te perkthehen edhe ne perkthimi i faqes kryesore duke perdorur lidhjen "Lista e perkthimeve [wiki] qe jane per tu bere ose per tu ndryshuar".

- Tani eshte e mundur te dergoni komente ne te gjitha anet faqes se interrnetit, lajme dhe artikuj wiki.

Po me vone?

- Seksioni i kursit te gjuheve eshte ne perpunim e siper.Qdo anetar i cucumis.org do te jete ne gjendje te krijoje nje leksion wiki rreth gjuhes se tij te preferuar.

- Nje applet(program) java eshte ne punim e siper per t'ju ofruar mundesine te rregjistroni dhe degjoni shembuj zanore per kurset e gjuheve.

- Nje program applet ose fash do te zhvillohet per te vizatuar ilustrimet per kurset e gjuheve.

- Nuk e kuptoj perse perqindja e anetareve qe bejne te pakten nje perkthim eshte kaq e vogel... Ndoshta duhet te provoj te permiresoj faqen e interrnetit dhe une kam nevoje lini nje shenim per kete...

Motorri i Cucumis.org eshte ne perfundim e siper.Une kam nje enderr te ndertoj nje komunitet te madh perkthyesish te ndihmojme projekte shumegjuhesh interesante dhe te nevojshme.Ne fakt,Cucumis ka akoma nevoje te gjeje rrugen e tij,dhe perdoruesit e tije.Rrealisht ne kemi nevoje per idete dhe komentet tuaja. Forumi tani funksionon dhe po pret idete tuaja.

Tre gjuhe te reja

Kane kaluar rreth pese dite qe kur kemi bere azhornimin e fundit dhe Cucumis.org eshte tani shtuar me tre gjuhe te reja:
- Turkisht perkthyer ne pjesen me te madhe nga nga zort dhe ndihmuar nga miku im i vjeter shanice.
- Katalan perkthyer brenda nje dite nga skuadra e enderrave te perkthimeve: strip dhe [perdorues=34].
- Japonisht perkthyer nga ccdj dhe ndihmuar nga Try.

Duket e thjeshte ne te thene, por kjo nen kupton shume pune dhe une ju falenderoj per te gjithe besimin qe keni tek Cucumis.org.Tani ne jemi gati te mirepresim Mr.Googlebot por ai duket pak i turpshem...

Gjuhet qe se shpejti do te jene: Spanjolle(90% e mbaruar), Esperanto(85%), Rusisht(50%) dhe Greqisht(50%).
