If "mushi" is a proper name, it should take caps.

not exactly, its a nickname similar to honey, sweetie, etc...

So, it's not a nickname, but an endearment term.
It sounds weird in this sentence.
"ans thanks to honey" wouldn't be natural in English. What about "and thanks to my mushi" or "and thanks to you, mushi"?

It is a slang nickname like shorty or shmoopy, I don't think it suppose to be in proper english.
