| | Der letzte Satz "Nach jeder Wahl ein Rücktritt, das ist Leben." geht gar nicht mit der englischen ÜS einher. Bei dieser scheint es sich eher um Selbstaufopferung, als um einen Rücktritt zu handeln.
Ich verstehe trotzdem nicht ganz, worauf sich die "Wahl" sinnmäßig bezieht. Die wahre Liebe kann man sich bekanntlich ja nicht aussuchen. |

'Opfer' is certainly better than 'Rücktritt' but there is no 'nach' in the Portuguese text. The English translation is accurate when it says 'Each choice, a self-sacrifice'. Not: first a choice, then a sacrifice follows, but rather something like 'each choice implies / is equivalent to a sacrifice'. |
