Viðmerking um umsetingina
[Your forehead is black-gold ornamented]
When night comes you wrap yourself with it.
I wouldn't want to be your brother
Or a monk praying to an image of an angel
Seeing sad dreams of sanctity-
[Opposite to you, women]

This is a part of a love poem called "Your forehead is black-gold ornamented". The lines in the brackets are missing lines important to understanding the requested meaning.
The poem is about a man praising a woman, comparing her black hair to precious gold. In these lines he says he does not want to be her brother or a believing monk (because he will not be able to have her if so)
