Possible alternatives which are less awkward in English:
I won't be able to do as I like to.
I won't be able to do as I would have liked to.
I won't be able to do that as I would have liked to do it.
I won't be able to do that as I would like to.
And so on. But it is good enough as it stands to be put to a vote. | | |

It was just tough to me to translate that "come mi pare" from Italian. That's too "Latin" to be expressed properly in English.  |
