Romani etiam cum Gallis et Germanis armis et telis pugnabant. Arma Romanorum erant galea, scutum, lorica; tela erant pilum, gladius, sagitta. Signum Romanorum aquila erat. Tuba copias e somno excitabat et ad pugnam vocabat. Romani tormentis saxa iactabant et machinis oppida expunabant. In bello cottidie castra collocabant et vallo fossaque firmabant.

Napomene o prevodu	Arma = armas de defesa; tela = armas de ataque. O 'tormentum' era uma mÃ¡quina de lanÃ§ar projÃ©teis; traduzi por 'catapulta', mas lembro que tambÃ©m havia essa palavra em latim. Curiosamente, hÃ¡ uma forma verbal de futuro -- delectabunt -- no texto, a qual mantive na traduÃ§Ã£o.
