Just out of curiosity - what is the symbolism of the 'making of a lion a chain' part? Is there one? Could you explain what it means?

for me;
'making of a lion a chain'..> it chains a lion.

Well, 'ÅŸir' is not a word used in contemporary Turkish. Just looked at an Ottoman Turkish dictionary. It means 'ÅŸair/poet'. So no problem.
