Dear lilian,

What do you say for,
to fall in love means to die and I died because I loved.

Hum...that sounds fine to me, but is that what the original says?

Sunny?

I agree that it sounds better, but it's not what the original says...

Merdogan, where did you see "to fall in love means to die"? Then on Turkish it would be: "Sevmek ölmektir", not "Sevmek ölmek gibidir". And "ölmeden önce" means: "before I died", not "because I died".

Dear Sunnybebek,
Is it possible definitely to translate of an idiom?
Somebody want to say "he/she died because he/she loved" and "before" isn't important. At least it is an idiom. (ofcouse for me)
it is for me,
"to fall in love means like to die and I died because I loved. "

Hi everyone,
I think here we should use "before" because the point is already here. She tries to say that "I loved before I died because loving means dying. And when I love someone, I die..."
So I think Sunny's translation is right: Only we might say: "Love is like dying, I had also loved before I died."
