In this text "dorogostojashie" means in Russian rather "valuable" (or "expensive", than "costly". But it isn't clear from the text what word should be used.

I agree with itsatrap100. And also ''Femme en Ukraine'' and ''ma femme est en Ukraine'', don't mean both the same thing. I think it should be ''as a woman in Ukraine''.
