He is a distinctive impressionistic colorist with simplicity as key signature. He has been active for approximately 25 years and prefers to be on Österlen and Öland as well as in Portugal.

He prefers to work with oil and only uses four tubes of color; white, blue, yellow and red. Torsten has attended several painting courses at Gerleborgsskolan among other places and performs studies in Portugal every year.
