In the original text "city" has 2 options, maybe because in Israel there are a lot of forms of living such as settlements, kibutz, villages etc, so it is like saying "city/other"

What's "privet name"?

Since the translator did not answer, I changed it to "given name". This is just a guess, since I cannot read Hebrew.

How does that affect this translation? Where it now says "given name", it originally said "privet name". What does that mean? I think you can read Hebrew, Francky - do you know?

Well, you know, my Hebrew is some kind of "gone away", I learned it for a couple of months in an ulpan "kita alef"in a kibbutz thirty two years ago!
I can speak it much better than I can read it now, so that all I could tell about names is what I told above. For the first line I can read "shem mishpara"(family name), but for the second line I don't see very well what could be writen, as first letter from this word " פרטי "
" פ "can read as an "F" as well as a"P", and in Hebrew there are diacritics signs as well, not often used on cucumis (worse than Romanian) which would have told wether it was an "F" or a "P" to be read, so it could be "farati", "parati", even the wowel sound isn't told. You should maybe ask Ittaihen or ahikamr, they would tell much better than I can do...

I'm sorry for not being here for a while.
"Private Name" is sometimes referred as "First Name". My real Name is Noga Kratzer - Noga is my First\Private name and Kratzer is my family name.

"פרטי" is pronounced: P-RA-TI

The proper English term is "given name" if the other one is called "family name". If you're going to use "first name", then the other one should be "last name".

Oh thanks! I didn't know that, as we French have "nom-prénom(s)"
"nom de famille"- prénom(s)"
I edited with "given name"

I think that's what I had originally edited "privet name" to.
