In really, it doesn't seem weird to me. Maybe the case is that I translated it in some wrong way. Would it be better to say: "Raining looks like crying"? The meaning is: Rain has a resemblance with crying.

And a comma in the original seems fine to me, though I can't say that I know Turkish punctuation so well.

Perhaps we could say:

The rain looks like tears.
or
The rain resembles tears (a weeping).
