Source language: Latin

Aliquando tamen istum librum chronicum Sacrae Scripturae appellamus, iuxta consonantiam Hebraici nominis. Sic dicitur in prologo Galeato Hierony. super libros regum s. septimus Dibrehaiamim. i. verba dierum, qui significantius exordium totius divinae historiae possumus appellare, qui liber apud nos Paralipomenon primus, & secundus inscibitur.

Hi jairhaas!
I have some problems in translating this: "s. septimus Dibrehaiamim. i. verba dierum". Could you please check your source?
I had figured out that "i." could be an abbreviation for "id est". But I don't have any idea for that "s." before the name of Septimus Dibrehaiamim.
Can you help me?
Thanks!

Hi Efylove!

Surely i. must be "idest" since verba dierum is a literal translation of (the Hebrew) Dibrehaiamim. I have no idea concerning the s., but since I asked for MO I think it could be ignored.

Thanks, this passage is very important to me.
