Hi KKMD

The English seems ok though I am not sure about the word "pupils" at the end.

The first part of the text should be:
"I'M SORRY THAT CHAT DIDN'T HAPPEN..." !

The rest of the translation is OK.
"I must go now.
Bye, pupils."

Hi KKMD, Hi Zciric

If we put "I'm sorry that we haven't been able to chat..." would that be ok?

maybe "lamento" could be better translated with "i regret"? just a suggestion. like: I regret we had no opportunity/occasion to chat.
and I personally would prefer "students" instead of "pupils", but that might be my north-american influence.

I'm sorry that (we) could not chat. (Spanish version)
I'm sorry that the chat didn't happened. (Portuguese version)

I think "students" is better than "pupils" too.

Gelernantoj could also be translated to students. Babilejo means "place to chat", and are often used for chatrooms on Internet.

It would be better to translate the first part as "I'm sorry we couldn't chat"
