De Nederlandse zin klinkt een beetje krom. In het Nederlands kom je 'iets' te weten; je komt niet 'over iets' te weten.
Mijn suggestie zou zijn:
Wat de toekomst is, zullen we nooit weten
met als alternatief:
We zullen nooit weten hoe de toekomst zou zijn
