عزيز دلم از جه ميبرسي كحالم مثل مالم در دكركوني...
Text
Submitted by samaramorad
Source language: Farsi-Persian

عزیز دلم، از چه می‌پرسی که حالم—مثل مالم—در دگرگونی، ثباتى ندارد، گاه آرام، گاه پریشان.

Remarks about the translation
كل الكلام غامض لي فانا لا تعرف اللغة الفارسية
اتمنى لو تستطيعوا ترجمة هذه الجملة لي فقد تعبت
ولم اجد موقع يترجم من الايراني الى العربي

<edit>"عزيز دلم از جه ميبرسي كحالم مثل مالم در دكركوني ثباتى ندارد كاه ارام كاه بريشان" with "عزیز دلم، از چه می‌پرسی که حالم—مثل مالم—در دگرگونی، ثباتى ندارد، گاه آرام، گاه پریشان."

What are you asking about, my dear friend
Translation
English

Target language: English

What are you asking about, my heart's darling?

Hello Francky

I have been thinking about this sentence for some time now. This is the meaning of the above sentence:

What are you asking about, my dear friend, because I am, like my possessions, variable and unstable, sometimes tranquil, sometimes on edge.

I am not sure if the "asking about" part conveys the intended meaning. In fact, it means "I am not well at all", after being asked about one's condition.

Also the source should be corrected as follows:

عزیز دلم، از چه می‌پرسی که حالم—مثل مالم—در دگرگونی، ثباتى ندارد، گاه آرام، گاه پریشان.

(It has been typed using an Arabic keyboard, hence some letters are mistyped.)

samaramorad,
Why do you think it is wrong? Could you explain?
In Persian, "مال" means "assets", "belongings", "possessions", "wealth", etc. I think, in Arabic, it could mean the same thing, e.g. إن العلم يحفظك و أنت تحفظ المال, but most commonly means "money". (I don't know Arabic very well.)

Yes it means "money " in Arabic too …..and I think your Arabic its not bad , I will be greedy and ask about the origin of translation " my dear friends " if it is write in the Farsi like the English without consider to male or female

Thanks

The expression "عزیز دلم" in your original sentence literally means "my heart's darling". I edited my translation and used this more accurate expression.

The expression "my dear friends" can be translated into Persian as "دوستان عزیزم" (dustan-e azizam). The Persian grammar does not have a concept of gender.
