Another superstition people believe in, is knocking on wood, having said something unacceptable and undesirable to happen, one knocks on a wooden object 3 times, then it is believed to have been avoided. The last superstition I would like to mention is the breaking of a mirror. When this happens, it is taken as a sign of a seven-year-suffering.
