기형종은 주변 세포와 관련없는 조직으로 형성되는 경우가 많은데, 예를 들어 난소에서 발생한 기형종은 체모와 치아로 발달하는 것으로 알려져 있다.

Teratomas
Wikepedia - an encyclopedia for all

A teratoma is a tumor caused by reproductive cells capable of being specialized into different forms. Usually, it develops in male testes, female ovaries, and children's skull sutures.

It is common that a teratoma ends up transforming into an irrelevant tissue to the cells surrounding it. For example, a teratomas occurring in an ovary are known to become body hair and teeth.

Hi fosinsight, Hi Lilly, Hi Una

You should either put "Teratomas" and treat the rest of the phrase in plural form or use the indefinite article "A" => "A teratoma is..."
"Ovarium" should read "Ovary" and the phrase would be better turned "For example, teratomas occurring in an ovary are known to become body hair and teeth."

Are you sure it read "to become" and not "to contain"?

thank you for your correction. I'm not sure why I said a teratomas all the sudden.
According to the original contect, i am sure it is "to become" and not "to contain" since its literal translation is "to develop into" something.
