Hi Raruto,

I have just changed 'at' to 'to', removed the capital F and set a poll.
Before my edit:
She wanted to go to Brittany at her Friend Veronique.

Hi Lein,
I see you forgot to set the poll

btw...shouldn't it be:
"...to see her friend Veronique"
or
"...to her friend Veronique's"

Thanks, I have set a poll
Your suggestions are both possible but this version is correct too. (Compare: "I will go to my friend Veronique, who is living in Brittanny" )

I suppose the person states he is going to his friend's house, right?

In that case, even omitting "house" the genitive case ( Veronique's) should be kept, I guess.

I still think it is fine to say "I want to go to my friend in Brittanny".

Dear friends,
"Sie wollte in die bretagne zu ihrer Freundin véronique."
as you see there isn't "to go". Why did you choose this verb?
There isn't any verb in German text.

But the English text does need a verb I think. What would your suggestion be?

Dear Lein,
It means we have to reject it because German text is wrong.
It can be e.g. " I want to send a card to my friend in Brittanny"

I agree with merdogan, the German text may be wrong because there is no verb associated with the verb 'wollen (wollte)'. In fact it is omitted. We don't know if she went there by train, by car or by plane.
Btw the English text is correct. But what about to use the verb drive, fly instead of go?

I think we can accept this translation even though the German text is missing a verb. And exactly because it is missing a verb, I think 'go' is better here than 'drive', 'fly' or anything more specific. Merdogan, you are right and it is possible that not only a verb but a whole sentence (such as 'send a letter to') is missing but this seems less probable.
Maybe - Britain refers to the country of Great Britain while Brittany is a region in France.
Thanks all for your comments!
