Cancer et filius suus
Cancer dicebat filio: "Mi fili, non debes sic gradi; rectus perge, quaeso". Cui filius respondit: "Pater mihi, libenter tibi obsequi cupio, sed exemplo mihi monstra quomodo facere debeam".

Hi Efylove,
I'm sorry for bothering you by asking for bridges, but there are no users to vote in this pair, so I'd be able to evaluate the translations only with the help of the Latin experts.
Could you please build a bridge for this request when you have time, please?

Thanks in advance

"The prawn and his son.
The prawn said to his son: "My son, you mustn't walk like this; proceed in a straight line, please." And the son answered him: "My father, I willingly desire to satisfy you, but show me with an example how should I do"

pater mihi = pater mi

Hope it works! And don't worry: ask me bridges when you need!!

Thank you!

Just a doubt: is it a prawn or a crab?

I think it's a prawn, but it could be a cancer. Maybe you can write a note...

Kisses.

There is an error in the text. Vocative form of 'meus' should be 'Pater mi', not 'Pater mihi' !!!

But it's the crab the one which walks sideways (crabwise) That's why I think 'crab' makes more sense than 'prawn'. See what I mean?

Yep, you're right. Crab is better...
