Cada vez mais os humanos tornam-se dependentes da tecnologia, quase todos dependem de telemóveis, de computadores e muitos não dispensam os seus iPods ou as suas agendas electrónicas.
E desde que foram inventadas as máquinas que substituem o homem nas suas tarefas, como por exemplo os aspiradores autónomos, parece que se tornou um hábito criar máquinas para nos tornarmos uns verdadeiros dependentes de robôs.

This is a good translation, however we have to correct the syntax a bit.

"Cada vez mais os humanos tornam-se dependentes da tecnologia"
Actually, "cada vez mais" does not refer to people, but to "dependent", therefore the line should read:
"People/humans become more and more dependent on..."

"Dispensar" here means "prescindir" (to do without), not "desistir" (give up)

You changed the syntax of the last line, but I think it sounds better than it would sound the original one, so I guess it's fine
