Title

Text
Submitted by nonsku
Source language: Portuguese

quando eu te falei el amor.

Title
kun puhuin sinulle rakkaudesta.
Translation
Finnish

Translated by tristangun
Target language: Finnish

kun puhuin sinulle rakkaudesta.
Remarks about the translation
Some disagreement on what would be the best way to translate this because the original is also a bit questionable. It was also suggested to be:
kun puhuin sinulle rakkaus.

Hmm, ensimmäinen sana puuttuu... ja puhua-verbiä käytettäessä rakkaus-sana täytyy taivuttaa.

Myös lausua tai sanoa olisivat mahdollisia, mutta kysellään sitten muitakin, miltä tämä katkelma kuulostaa.

Yes that's the idea if you use "puhua" (like: Speak softly love by Andy Williams)

Another possibility might be:
kun kerroin sinulle rakastavani
when I told you I am in love????

in finnish "rakkaudesta" means "about love" and the translation would mean "when i spoke to you about love"

Well. The portuguese text doesn't make sense because 'el' doesn't exist in our language.

If you read the comment from the english translation you'll see that this interpretation makes sense. I will validate it as it is because it is grammatically correct expression explaining the disagreement in the comment field.

Yes, but I have to remind you that the source text is the 'portuspanish' one.
