Well, I've read it over, and because you've missed a "." i didn't understand the "með því að gefa þér %p stig %p[.] hvern dag", My mistake.

But at the beginning I still think it should be "þegar" and not "ef".

Where is that period in the source? Can't see it. About the other word "Þegar" vs. "Ef" I think both can be used but "Ef" would be more appropriate regarding the meaning of the sentence.

Útaf því að það var enginn punktur á eftir %p þá las ég þetta vitlaust og skildi ekki setninguna, en svo fattaði ég hvað þú áttir við. My mistake.
