The expert's opinion is that it might mean:
"Sie ist mein Mädchen"/"She is my girl"
"Sie sind meine Mädchen"

Hi again Heidrun.
please, tell me: I wrote under my translation that the text in German is a little bit wrong, am I right?

Yes, it should be "Sie ist mein Mädchen"/"She is my girl" I suppose. "Hon är min flicka" in Swedish I think. It could also be plural "Sie sind meine Mädchen", but I don't know.

Ah, thanks.
I thought it was polite "You are my girl", since "Mädchen" works as singular and plural.

Casper, Ich bin mir nicht mehr so ganz sicher, ob die Ãœbersetzung richtig ist.

These are girls (to me/ in my opinion)
Dom är tjejer (enligt min uppfattning)
Sie sind mir Mädchen (mir = meiner Meinung nach )

This is just a supposition. Here the dative construction (jemandem sein) is perplexing to me. Without knowledge of the context it is almost impossible to guess its meaning.

Meine Vermutung ist auch, dass die Aussage eher in die Richtung geht:

[Na,] Sie sind mir [vielleicht ein paar] Mädchen!

Und dann hieße es:

[Nejmen,] vilka tjejer ni är!

Hi guys.
The expert said that it should read like that in German.

I agree, I also thought about this possibility, but the translation is definitely lacking of context, so it's not quite clear..

So it could be either "Sie sind mir Mädchen" (said in a surprised tone like when somebody did something you didn't expect from this person), or a very wrongly written "Sie sind meine Mädchen". After some reflexions, I also prefer the first, because the latter is grammatically simply too wrong...

Ok ...så kan det vara.

verrac,
vet inte om du följer diskussionen ovan, men den Tyska källtexten (din begärda översättning) innehåller många fel och kan tolkas/ översättas på flera olika sätt.

Har du mer information om texten? Ur vilket sammanhang den tagits?

No reply from verrac or rchk, but it seems like the votes are positive, so this has to be accepted now.

I would also write tysktolk's suggestion in the comment box ([Nejmen,] vilka tjejer ni är!). Just if it makes sense in Swedish and you're ok with it, of course =)
