This doesn't quite seem to match the French translation... Can someone explain why? Is one of them wrong? (I will probably have to evaluate the Dutch translation soon so it would be good to have your opinions!)

I agree with Lein.
This translation is very different from the French one. Therefore, I cannot form an opinion for the evaluation; since my Arabic is less than poor...

I thing that the English translation doesn't convey exactly the French one.

It has been a long time that i wanted to tell you this: When i saw you for the first time, I wanted to let you know my honest feeling and the sincerity of my love for you.

well maybe if you tell me what the french and dutch one say in english i can help you, because this one is pretty much it, maybe a little diversion,
"You have ruled over my heart from the first time I saw you." can be
"you, who have haunted (lived in, or captured) my heart since I first saw you"

only regarding the English to Arabic trans., I would prefer "true and deep" instead of "sincere and honest".

Excuse me but it is the French one that doesn't match the Arabic one.
I didn't read the part "You have ruled over my heart..." Which was in the Arabic version.
It also describe love as sincere and pure(this may not be of harm to the translation).
But the French translation is missing if I'm not mistaken.

That is also my impression.
They say the same thing, except for 'you have ruled over my heart', which is missing in the French (and therefor the Dutch) translation.

We will solve the problem of the French translation later. What matters here is whether this translation conveys the original in Arabic.

What do you native speakers say? Elmota and the others

I am sorry, but the French and English versions are quite different. One of them is not correct....

Elmota,

The discussion is getting a bit confusing (because of all this talk on the French translation, too, which is a different matter if you ask me...)

As I understand, you say that the English translation is correct now?
Does the present version match the Arabic text?

OK, thanks to everybody, now we will take care of that line.

Francky, it seems that there's a line missing in the French version. "You have ruled over my heart "

Could you insert it so that all this discussion will be avoided when the Dutch is evaluated?

Thank you.
