Kai tu iškeli rankas į dangų
ir Å¡auki koks tu laimingas.
Kai tau norisi skrist, kai matai
skrendantį paukštį.
Kai tau laiko už rankos
geriausias draugas, kai sunku.
Kai pūti pienės pūką ir žiūri,
kaip jis skrenda.
Kai tau nubėga ašara iš laimės.
Kai peršlapęs stovi lietuje
ir džiaugiesi, kad gimei.
Kai pūti spalvotus muilo burbulus
ir žiūri, kaip jie kyla aukštyn.
Kai pavargęs įmergi kojas
į šaltą upės vandenį.
Kai tau paskambina ir pasako
"Myliu tave!".

Va čia yra laimė.

Ynskt mál: Enskt

When you throw your hands up in the air
and yell how happy you are.
When you want to fly as you see
a bird flying.
When you are held by the hand
by your best friend when times are hard.
When you blow at a dandelion and watch
its fuzz fly away.
When you cry a tear of happiness.
When you stand soaked in the rain
and feel happy for you were born.
When you blow colorful soap bubbles
and watch them rise up high.
When you are tired and immerse your feet
in the chilly water of a river.
When you are called and told,
"I love you!"

This is happiness.

Hi ollka,

It's always a pleasure evaluating your excellent work.
I'd just like to remark a few things.
"When you want to fly as you see a flying bird."
You mean: "When you want to fly as (when)you see
a bird flying."

"when it's hard." I'd say "when things are (seem) hard"
"and feel happy for (because) you were born."

What do you think?

Hey Lilian.
Sure, I'll correct those right away, thanks.

I think this translation is good except one word - "daffodil". A daffodil is a kind of narcissus, and "piene" in Lithuanian means another yellow flower, it is usually translated as "dandelion", and you can blow off its seeds when it becomes white.
Sorry, I didn't find how to write a comment when I click "I think the meaning of this translation is right", only when I click "I think the meaning of this translation is wrong".

Hey Valentina, you're absolutely right, I don't know what possessed me to write daffodil ) Thanks for the correction.

OK, I'll validate this fine work since that minor mistake has been corrected.

Valentina, when you want to post a comment, but don't want to vote against the translation, you should click on the flag of the translation instead of on the red ball. The page will open and you can write your remark.
If you want to change your vote, click on "cancel", between the request and the translation.

Hi Lilian,
Thank you very much for your explanation. Now I know how to post a comment when the translation is good except for one small mistake.
