TELGRAF : William Cooke ve Charles Wheatstone adlı iki İngiliz1837 yılında , teller üzerinden elektrik akımı göndererek mesaj iletmeyi başardılar. Böylece ilk elektrikli telgraf makinesi ortaya çıktı. Elektrik akımı, alıcı cihazın kadranındaki bir dizi iğneyi hareket ettirerek ulaştırılacak mesajın ekranda belirmesine yardımcı oluyordu.
