sana ne demeliyim bilmiyorum
çünkü,sana olan aşkımı dünyanın en güzel sözleri bile anlatmaya yetmez.
sen benim anlatamayacagım,tarif edemeyecegim, ama ömür boyu sevecegim,
biricik aşkım,sevgilim,hasretim,güneşim,hayalim,rüyam,her şeyimsin
sen benim düşündügümde huzur buldugum,gözlerine bakınca mutlu oldugum,
hayatımın aşkısın
benden son arzumu sorsalar SENİ isterdim,1000 yıl ömrüm olsa, seninle 1 günüm olmasını isterdim
seni tahmin edemeyecegin kadar çooooooooooooooooooooookkkkkkk seviyorum.
sen hayattımda 1 kez gördügüm,ama hayatım boyunca hep görmek istedigim
en güzel rüyamsın

You are the love of my life
번역
영어

번역될 언어: 영어

I don't know what to tell you because there are not enough words to express my love for you.
You are my inexpressible, indescribable but only love, my dearest, my darling, my needed one, my sun, my hope, my dream ... you are my everything.
You are the one with whom I find rest when I think of you, who makes me happy when I look into your eyes, you are the love of my life.
If people would ask me what I want I would wish for YOU, if my life could last a thousand years I would want to be one whole day together with you.
I love you immensely, you have no idea! I have seen you only once in my life but you are the one I want to see every day throughout my life, you are my sweetest dream!

Just one day out of a thousand, according to the Dutch text. Isn't he a modest and self-effacing lover :-)

Just one timy point: 'I love you dearly' doesn't sound as strongand passionate as the Dutch 'ontzettend veel' - but I don't really know what would be a better alternative. (Maybe just 'so dearly'?)
Otherwise a very good translation as always

What would you think of *I love you immensely*? Overigens vind ik onze "ontzettend"s en "hardstikke"s nogal gedevalueerd.
Maar even iets anders, I wonder what you think of my remark to the translation. Don't you think it's a wee bit strange for such a passionate lover to ask for only one day out of a thousand? I wonder if that's what the Turkish tekst says. Or am I just being paranoid?

'immensly' would capture it very well I think!

I think this one day is another melodramatic way to tell the listener about the extent of his passion

If he had the option to choose to live a thousand years, instead he would ask for one day with his beloved. I agree that is not quite what the Dutch text says; what I don't know is whether the translation is wrong here, or whether the Turkish original was written in an odd way.

Because I don't speak Turkish, I just set a poll for this translation and got only positive votes (although some people who voted tend to vote positive for any translation they see )

Hopefully, this English translation will attract some more 'critical' reviewers

Well, I've done my thing - a translation from Dutch - but I wonder if what he is saying in Turkish isn't rather something like "if my life COULD last a thousand years I would PREFER to be one day with you. Makes me think of that fado were the fadista first sings: "nas horas da nossa vida cada hora é um minuto ... mas o tempo é tão ruim, tem cada hora um segundo", then goes on: "deixa-te estar ao meu lado e não mais te vais embora, para meu coração coitado viver na vida uma hora"

Hi Merdogan,
Thanks for your suggestions.
What do you think fits the nexts phrase better (I mean after SENÄ° isterdim )?
[1] if my life would last a thousand years I would want to be one whole day together with you.[2] if my life could last a thousand years I would prefer to be one day with you
Regards,
Guido

Hi,
Turkish text is not O.k in this line.
for me line (2] "if my life could last a thousand years I would prefer to be one day with you" is better.

It seems to me that what the author means is that if he could choose between having a long life (without her) or spend a single day with her, he would prefer the second.
Is that the idea?

Dear lilian
You are right it is the idea.

Well...I think it could be:

"If people would ask me what I want I would wish for YOU, my life could last a thousand years, yet I would prefer living just a single day as long as it's with you."

What do you guys think?

Why not as I suggested *if my life could last a thousand years I would prefer to be one day with you*? Shorter and conveys the meaning just as well, I think. Anyway, if you change it, I think you should take into account that I have been asked to translate from the Dutch. So better leave the text as it is and put the meaning of the Turkish text under "remarks", or the reverse. And thanks again, Merdogan, for your help.

Hi Lilian,
Thanks for editing my translation *you are the love of my life*.
I wonder if you would, just for the sake of clarity, edit the remark into : *The Dutch text says: " if my life would last a thousand years I would want to be one whole day together with you"*
Thanks again, Guido

Hi Lein, according to Guido the Dutch text used "would" instead of "could" in that line. Is that correct in Dutch? in English should be a past tense that's why I edited the English with "could" (also "lasted" would be possible) in:
"if my life could last a thousand years I would want to be one whole day together with you."

Yes, it is correct, it just changes the meaning of the text which is what the whole discussion above was about. It seems 'would' is the correct translation from the Turkish text but I think we are concluding the writer meant 'could' so I will edit accordingly.
