yas tutar oldu
göçebe mutluluğun arkasından
çöküntü kabrinden kalkarak
kinle baktı gözleri..

çıkmaz ruhun, solmuş cesedi
kanla süslü heryeri
fısıldıyor , yalvarıyor
bir ÅŸans istiyor

dalgalar alıp götürüyor
ufukta kayboluyor..
yılların nefreti
üzülmek yersiz

çıktı sonunda
aptalın kehaneti
yavaşça yok oldu
sona erdi laneti

ölüme karşı koyamadı kemikten bedeni
karanlığın oldu esiri

Mourning came
Tłumaczenie
Angielski

Język docelowy: Angielski

Mourning came
after fleeting happiness
arising from the ruins of the grave
with eyes full of hate..

the faded corpse, whence the soul does not come forth
decorated with blood all over
murmurs and pleads
for another chance

waves take it away
it disappears on the horizon
the hatred of years
sorrow is pointless

the fool's prophesy
came true in the end
it slowly disappeared
the curse expired

the bony body could not stand up to death
it became the slave of darkness
Uwagi na temat tłumaczenia
I wasn't sure about the first line. The whole thing is an old song, obviously a lament.

Here are the words I had to look up for this one, in case someone else wants them:

yas tutmak = to mourn
göçebe = migratory
çöküntü = ruin, wreckage
kabır = grave, tomb
solmak = fade, wither
fısıldamak = murmur, whisper
ufuk = horizon
kehanet = omen
sona ermek = expire
esir = slave

smy says there may be a mistake in the last line of the first verse: "with eyes full of hate". The original translates literally as "its eyes gazed with hate" - I translated it a little bit freely to make it sound more poetic in English.
