I translated this from English which reads: "Today I let the nostalgia flow from my eyes".

The word "today" suggests the present for Latin, so I wouldn't translate it in the past...

But since you told me it was the past, I can change it of course.

Claro, no se puede traducir siempre palabra por palabra, especialmente en los poemas épicos. Quizá, en aquel contexto, el escritor haya decidido usar "Ego Nemo sum" en lugar de "Mihi nomen est Nemo" para razones estilísticas o métricas...
