It is getting dark earlier now
I'm putting my foot down more now
Rarely calling home anymore
O, my mom does not know how
silent I'm now
warming my bed for hours and hours
A five week happiness is so far from me

To the Moon we have reached now
Medals were given for our love
And the coin has two sides
We did not know this side.

Is that the right side of the moon
Is that the right side of the coin
We have found our love
Or we've missed a point.

I won't let to change
My pain to another pain
This field
can not reap a yield
He did not show off
I said-it was on, now it is over
Anything should be about to say
To understand my pain.

Hi jita

I am trying to make sure the English is correct; once that is done, I will set a poll to ask others whether the translation is right, because I don't understand Russian.

I have a few questions about your translation:

- It was unknown really life -> this is not a correct English sentence, and I am not quite sure what you mean:
'real life was unknown' or 'life was not really known'

- We have found our love
Or we've missed a point -> is this a statement or a question? (at the moment it is a statement, I am just checking if that is what you mean.)

- I won't let to change
My pain to another pain -> do you mean 'I won't let my pain change (in)to another (type of) pain'?

- This field
can not reap a yield -> do you mean 'cannot yield a harvest'?

- Anything should be about to say
To understand my pain -> do you mean 'anything should be about explaining, about understanding my pain'?

Please let me know what you think about my suggestions or make other suggestions if you like

Once the English text is correct, I can start the poll.
Thanks!

Hello experts

The translator has not logged in for a while. Could you help me with the questions above? Thanks!

The translation is OK, but not very good... We have already discussed this song. Can't we see the previous discussion?

For example, "It was unknown really life" in original means "We did not know this [side of the coin]", not very close, yeah?

As for "is this a statement or a question?" I may suppose that your question is quite senseless, because in poetry often there is no any definite border between them, as well as punctuation marks are omitted. That gives the opportunity to find your own sense

Thanks ramarren

It seems in Russian this phrase can be a statement as well as a question, so I will leave it a statement in the translation (in English, this is clear from the word order:
we've missed a point: statement
have we missed a point: question

I have looked for the discussion, but when the previous translation was rejected, the discussion was no longer available for me to see

I will also set a poll to see if anyone else has any suggestions, even though the English is not perfect yet.

Actually, I would advice to reject this translation as well, In fact, the previous was far better, I do not know why it was rejected, it just needed some improvements...

Done, thanks

It's obviously not the easiest text to translate...
