I translated the first texts I saw, the numbers are listed above the text.

But today, in other words, is Wednesday August 15th! It means that I have been here in Brazil, South-America for five months and almost 15 days! Yes, I feel time passing rather fast here. The people I speak with at home say it’s not passing fast, but anyways, that’s how I feel.

#91 ( understandable text, but not correct Icelandic)

Transl: Whether or not it is to stay for a shorter or longer period, to enjoy life in a quitet and beautiful surroundings.

Look at this message from Saffah to me >>> Bueno si crees que no se hablar español, te invito a un chat mi amigo. Y si además, no crees que pueda hablar cualquiera de mis idiomas, pues adelante, envíame otro mensaje como respuesta y te podré responder en la lengua que quieras. Por lo demás no voy a hacer caso a acusaciones sin fundamento.
He's very modest, don't you think?

Do I have the right to remake my last rejected translation? "In aeternum tuus" sounds better? I don't know what to do with the differences between genders in Latin. Thank you

Hi Porfyhr

I'm not sure what you're accusing me of, but I have not decreased your rating for translations into English - you get consistently high marks from me.

By the way, note that my rating for English is only a couple of hundredths of a point above yours!

HEllo Porfyhr, I'm not sure of the meaning of the word "slentrian", and about Chantal's way of rating, I told in my last message in date I used the same way as she does for the rating.

About English, I don't know but if you have a look to Casino Aalborg (there aren't two capital "A" at the name "Aalborg",or is it a joke about the "AA"(Alcoholic Anonymous)?)

Have look to the translation you did, and compare
with the one CocoT did,

You'll notice there are a few errors you did, that you could avoid, have a look. for the superlatives in English apply the "one, two, three" rule, it is as simple as an automatism; one you can two you can three you can't!(and "a fortiori" four or five!)

I think I forgot to mention one I rejected, because I was obliged to, with a 9 rating.

Ask kafetzou to rate the couple of translations she forgot to rate, if she thinks they are good translations your average rating may be slightly increased. Do you prefer me to ask her?

Hi Porfyhr, don't worry about those ratings, they doesn't mean a lot. You know experts are rating hos they feel. English experts are rating so many translations that they make some mistakes and each expert has it's way of rating. So you can have a better rating in a language just becaus the expert is giving good rating and being not as good as in another language with a lower rating. This mean (alsmost) nothing.

Don't be upset for some figures, I never look at the ratings to know how far I can trust a member. We know you and we trust you now, that's the most important. If you have some doubts for a translation you did, ask to Kafetzou why she rejected, but not on all translations because she will be overloaded. As you kow i's hard to be expert becuse noone is perfect and everybody wants to know why you rejected this and this...

Bye

Hey,

Sorry for that! Somehow I've always given people 7-ens for their translations.. I don't have an explanation actually, but I'll change my way of doing things! It's just a thing I got used to and never really considered what the consequences were .

See you! xxx

Hello Porfyhr,

Don't worry about it. I really should apologize, too, as my comment was particularly dry and that was uncalled for. Since your translation had been accepted, I simply shouldn't have commented again about it. I was just a little surprised by "libre de", but, hey, I don't want to make a fuss about it, it's really not worth it.
I, too, hope to work along with you in the future. Your language knowledge (particularly in Scandinavian languages) is really impressive
