A very good translation, but?

How does it work?

Are there any guidelines as to the evaluation of a good translation that has some minor lapses that do not interfere with the comprehension.

Thanks,

Hi, you are talking about the evaluation polls ?
Actually, these polls are started by the experts of the site when they are not sure about the meaning of the translation (especially when they don't understand the source language).
When you see minor lapses, it' s not easy. If, looking at the source text, there is no doubt taht the translation has a slightly diferent meaning and that you have in mind a far better translation, you should bote "wrong meaning". If you don't totally agree on some minor poitns of the translation but you admit it'a matter of choice and without more context it's hard to decide what is the bette solution, I guess you should vote "right meaning".

The most important is to post a message below the translation to inform the experts about these minor lapses (in order they can make a correction).
Thanks for this question
