Original requests/ translations

As an old member [with a new profile] I would like to suggest something; ALWAYS KEEP THE ORIGINAL in a note or the comments field, no matter how faulty it is -BEFORE starting with improvements. I think that was a common way to work few years back, but it seems rare now. Original translations (also requests) are being edited/improved several times by experts and admins -before being accepted, and there is no way to go back/ check the original one - if needed.

ONE of the things I appreciated much as a new member (2007) was actually that tiny action made by the expert in charge. It made it possible to go back, see what was changed. I know Cucumis is not a site for learning/improving languages... but it sure had that outcome. I could easily later on compare my first attempt with the approved one, good stuff.
