A shivering mass of white native blossom,a tree touched with scarlet,a clump of toiâ€“toi,and looking for all the world like a family of little girls drying their hair.
Bemerkungen zur Übersetzung	some informations about some words from this text : "toi-toi" is a plant very diffuse in New Zealand; "whares" are places of meeting in New Zealand also know as "marae".

Des vallÃ©es, illuminÃ©es par la lumiÃ¨re se balanÃ§ant des fleurs de genÃªt, au loin, des maraes gris, avec le volant d'un jupon lÃ©ger d'un jardin, et se faufilant autour d'elles sur une route blanche une procession de bÃ©tail patient. Une masse frissonnante d'une fleur indigÃ¨ne blanche, un arbre avec une touche d'Ã©carlate, un bouquet de toi-toi, et en cherchant le monde entier comme une famille de petites filles sÃ©chant leurs cheveux.
