Dear Tatiana, congratulations on your delivery - well done! It probably feels good. Your adaptation to things sounded so cool, maybe I should sign up for one of your courses in statistics someday (ha, ha...). It's always enjoyable and inspiring talking to you. A big hug from Berlin, Nana.

Your adaptation to things seems so TOUGH/DIFFICULT.
Don't understand the word "joyable" in this context- - would say mood-generating.
Big HUGS and not KISS.

It seems to me that you have been using a dictionary. Literally the word "sej" indeed means "tough", but this is by no means what is meant here, believe me. Young people use it as slang very often (at least 10 times a day) for "cool" (the way "tough" is often used in English). There is no other way to understand it here, no way!

You are right, KISS should be substituted with HUG, thank you.

"joyable" seems fine to me, "mood-generating" is not something you say to a person in private conversation, even if it might be a more literal translation. In translation one has to catch the spirit of the content as well.

If gamine has been using a dictionary, maybe you should also look in one. Because the word "joyable" does not even exist.

Maybe you wanted to say "enjoyable".

Besides, "lød" is a Past Tense form of the verb "at lyde" ("to sound" in English), so even if you use "seem" instead (which is not quite the right translation, but I guess it can be used), the correct form should have been "seemed" and not "seems".

On the other hand "jeg skulle få mig et statistikkursus hos dig ved lejlighed" means actually "maybe I should get a statistics course from you when the opportunity arises". You didn't translate "ved lejlighed".

I agree with jairhaas that "sej" in this context should indeed be translated to "cool".

And I'd simply translate "ved lejlighed" to "some day".

"Humørbringende" means something like: Makes me cheerful/happy, so I guess enjoyable could be used here.

Oh, and "lød" should be "sounded".

Did I remember to comment on everything? :-)

Anita, thank you very much. To be honest I did not think about that "someday", it sounds actually much better than my alternative.

A nice evening and weekend to everybody!

Thanks so much for your help, Anita. As I told jairhaas he could be right as I don't live in Denmark anymore and that I was not aware of all the ways the young people now. So to me the best ting to do was to ask you, and a usually you found the solutions. Thanks so much again, dear expert.

Thanks guys.

I think I've made all the edits you suggested and included a few minor corrections of syntax. Could you check if the translation is fine now, please?

I would still correct "sounds" to "sounded"

Instead of "enjoyable" I suggest "joyful" (which was what I meant in the first place, "joyable" was obviously mistaken)
