Hi cacue,
You know, when I read the word "commission" in English first, I understood it in the usual business way, to mean "the percentage of the sales that I made for you," i.e. an amount of money, a "bonus" which can go up or down, depending on how many sales he made.
On the other hand, 委任书 would rather seem to indicate a document indicating his appointment as her official representative in Turkey. So maybe we need to translate it this way:
"I have been waiting for a document appointing me your official representative, since the beginning of September. Please let me know when you can send it to me."
or some such phrase?
Have I misunderstood the meaning of the Chinese 委任书?

You were quite right about the meaning of 委任书. It's just that the requester already has an idea of the English version, but asks us to translate the Chinese back to English to see if he's right with his own translation from English to Chinese.

So, having seen the requester's original Chinese version of this mail, I had to ask for the meaning and then translate the English version that the requester gave me into Chinese, in which process I had to alter some of its wording so that the Chinese would be understandable. I sort of cheated here by simply posting the English version that the requester sent me. And unavoidably, there might be some minor discrepency between the Chinese and the "translated" English versions.

Urgh... what the heck?? I don't even know what I was talking about just now... So, just ignore me... :S

Hi Cacue,
Because this is kind of a weird request, I'm going to accept your translation: you've done the work that the requester hoped you would do for him, so you deserve the points for it, I should think...

Hello safas,
Next time:
Please do not submit a text which you have translated yourself.
Please submit your original text,
(i.e. in this case, the English text),
and then ask for it to be translated into another language
(in this case, into Chinese).
If you want, afterwards, you can compare the Chinese text you wrote with the Cucumis translated version, and see if you made any mistakes.

Please do not ask translators to correct your texts.

Anyway, I hope you also try translating other people's texts, too: you can get points, to use for more of your translation requests, later on!
