Hey dear fellow Cucumis members,

I am Estonian and consider foreign languages to be my main passion This year i will be graduating the uni as a BA (business administration and business languages).

Estonian is my native language, i also speak fluent English. I have an advanced level in Russian and Finnish. French and Dutch are a bit less advanced, hehe.

I have worked as a freelance translator for years.

Btw, a note to the moderator: Estonian words are usually longer, so 106 characters is not a sufficient ratio (i already faced that problem).

And thanks for letting me take part of this wonderful community

Hello, welcome on cucumis
I think your contribution will be very helpful here with so many languages you can speak and understand.

For the estonian ratio of 106, it's automatically set by the system. It compares the number of characters of estonian translations with the number of characters of the source text. There are not enougth estonian translations to make it very accurate. I hope the ratio will grow to the right value. By the way, what is the usual ratio?

Thanks for the welcome JP

I am not sure of the official ratio, I will try to look it up. My rough guess would be that it's around 125.

Hopefully there will be more estonian translations now that I'm here
