Klingon translator

Greetings. I was referred here by Qov of the Klingon Language Institute. I've been a student of Klingon and a member of the KLI for more than ten years, and while I don't consider myself an expert, I do consider myself fluent.

I looked over the translation requests for Klingon and submitted one so far. Many of them are in the form word-word-word (I suspect that's for the coding of this website) and wondered just exactly how precise these titles must be. In many places two of the hyphenated words can be expressed in Klingon with one word (which is not easily split into two, given Klingon's agglutinative structure). In another place I found a request for an infinitive form of a verb, which, to my knowledge, is not expressible in Klingon. I've never seen anyone not conjugate a verb in Klingon.

About the word-word-word titles, you're right, they concern only texts used for the cucumis.org interface. They are automatically generated by an algorithm. For those translations, you don't need to translate the title with accuracy, just choose a short title that represents the text.

For the infinitive forms, it depends on the context. I know there some infinitive forms for the texts shown over buttons like "Edit" "Translate" etc.. I'm not sure how we should conjugate this. Maybe "You translate" or "I translate".
In a few days you can send messages about translations. Don't hesitate to post messages about each translation where it's not clear for you.

Just another thing, there are plenty of texts from the cucumis interface not yet submitted as I was waiting for a translator.
