What kind of passion is this, i don't understand
Übersetzung
Englisch

Übersetzt von kfeto
Zielsprache: Englisch

What kind of passion is this,
I don't understand myself.
How can any person miss another person this much?
My bed is ice cold, my room is dark.
Without you this man is withering away day by day.
I really miss saying 'my love' to you.
It suits you the most.
I'm gonna take you into my arms if only you'd return to me.
Let alone life, death could no longer take you from me.
The nights have turned into years wiping away my tears.
My pillow has given up consoling me.
I really miss saying my love...
Bemerkungen zur Übersetzung
i used 'really miss' instead of 'miss a lot' because 'miss saying my love a lot to you' leaves ambiguity on what 'a lot' refers to

Bu nasil bir hasret
Anlamadim kendimi
Bir insan bir insani
Bu kadar özlermi

Yatagim buz gibi
Karanlik bütün odam
Gündan güne eriyor
Sensiz bu adam

Askim demeyi çok özledim sana
Bu kelime en çok sende yakisti bana
Geri dönersen eger alacagim koynuma
Degil hayat ölüm bile alamaz artik seni benden

Geceler yoruldu
Gözyasimi silmekten
Yastigim pes etti
Beni teselli etmekten

Yatagim buz gibi
Karanlik bütün odam
Gündan güne eriyor
Sensiz bu adam

Askim demeyi çok özledim sana
Bu kelime en çok sende yakisti bana
Geri dönersen eger alacagim koynuma
Degil hayat ölüm bile alamaz artik seni benden

Let alone life, death could no longer take you from me.
This is also awkward

it is standard and correct english though
besides the original turkish has an inverted and truly awkward sentence structure: starting of with 'Degil hayat'= 'not/naught life'
you consider it awkward on top of what dramati?

kfeto, "değil hayat ölüm bile alamaz artık seni benden" is not and inverted and awkward sentence, it's a perfectly structured sentence (except diacritics) and this piece is written in free verse style so you may got confused when reading it. Here are some parts (in bold)which needs your editing:

What kind of passion is this,
I didn't understand myself.
The nights have turned into years wiping away my tears, (geceler yil oldu gozyasimi silmekten)
My pillow has given up consoling me. (yastigim pes etti beni teselli etmekten)
I really miss saying my love...

ok thanks for the last bit, the lack of punctuation threw me off

The 'don't understand' part is deliberate however since anlamadim expresses past action which continues today where as i felt 'i didn't understand' implies the non-understanding has ended. if the original wanted to imply that, anlamamistim would have probably been used.

ps do they have popularity polls on cucumis?...
