can somebody edit to put the paragraph in the comment as the context, and leave only the obscure words in the translation field? that would get it translated much faster... thanks

I have no idea what "mt" is supposed to be - I have some guesses as to what it could mean, but I can't really derive them from "mt": "net" or "with tax" would be the most logical guesses I can think of.

But the original text is apparently not written by a native speaker of English - for example, it should be "1834 cardboard cartons of 12 transparent 1.8-litre plastic bottles each," I would think.

i think i figured it out, its 22 metric tons
casper, it was like that originally, but because the author specifically said that was the only line he didnt understand we figured it would be easier to just translate that line
thanks all

oh... metric tons? sounds good to me:
but 1834 x 12 x 1.8kgs (usually 1 liter of water weighs 1 kg) = 39614.2 kgs? Almost 40 metric tons?

Maybe it's something lighter than water? Is alcohol lighter than water?

Apparently a liter of alcohol weighs 0.8 kgs, but that would still be over 30 metric tons?
Anything lighter than that might be dangerous to ship in 1.8 liter bottles x 12-pack boxes?
Actually I love playing Sherlock Holmes , but I guess we just ask fesil what he means here?
