While I do translation, I couldn't find the meaning of a word (konkase/ a Turkish word about cooking). Here is the definition:
"Konkase" tomato: to peel tomato and cut it into square shape | | 28 July 2011 13:12 | | It looks very alike "concassé" which is a French word, (in English : crushed" I wouldn't be surprized if it was borrowed to the French (after all, we French speaking people borrowed a lot of words to Turkish as well, eg : "bergamote", "colbaque", "cosaque", "cravache", "caviar", "hongre", "horde", "janissaire", etc...
In French, concassé is an adjective that means cut into small pieces, it is used mostly with food, eg : "Blé concassé" that has another name of foreign origin, "bulghur".
Bon appétit! | | 28 July 2011 13:55 | | Thank you, Francky5591. |
