Title
Te marchaste sin palabras, cerrando la puerta,...
Text
Submitted by irini
Source language: Spanish

Te marchaste sin palabras, cerrando la puerta,
justo cuando te pedía, un poco más.
El miedo te alejó del nido, sin una respuesta,
dejando un corazón herido, dejándome atrás.

Y ahora me muero de amor si no estás,
me muero y no puedo esperar,
a que vuelvas de nuevo aquí,
junto a mí, con tus besos.

Es que me muero de amor si no estás,
me muero y no puedo esperar,
necesito tenerte aquí, junto a mí,

Title
You walked away...
Translation
English

Translated by bmuniz
Target language: English

You walked away without words, closing the door,
just when I asked you for a little more.
Fear took you away from the nest, without an answer,
leaving a heart broke, leaving me behind.

If you are not here I'll die of love,
I will die and can't wait
for you to come back here,
by my side, with your kisses.

I will just die of love if you are not here,
I'll die and can't wait,
I need to have you here, by my side,
without your love I can't go on.

Among your papers I discovered, a letter,
only straight lines, meaningless phrases.

You say that the motive was the lack of air,
but I always let you be free, without any conditions.

Tell me that's not true, that I'm going to wake up,
against your skin, the same as it was yesterday.

What happened to "solo en líneas apretadas"?

I put "solo en líneas apretadas" back in, repaired a few other omissions, fixed some idioms, and formatted it as per the original.

I did a translation and thank you ladies but there are two parts that I'm not so sure about

a)You said you were smothered,
if I would always let you be free, without conditions.

Is it me or it doesn't make much sense? Smothered if let free?

b )against your skin, the same as it was yesterday.

I assume "as it happened yesterday", "as I woke yesterday"?

You say that the motive was the lack of air,
if I always let you be free, without any conditions.

(it doesn't make much sense)

guilon, can you help?

Just to clarify: I'm not doubting the translation in any way, it's just that people usually feel suffocated when NOT let free right?

"Dices que el motivo fue la falta de aire,
si siempre te dejé ser libre, sin una condición":

You say that the motive was the lack of air (you left because you felt as if you couldn't breath by my side),
BUT I always let you be free, without any conditions.

It's an idiomatic use of "si", with an adversative sense.
