Yıllardır bir özlemdi
Yanıp durdu bağrımda
Tam ümidi kesmişken
Onu gördüm karşımda

Gözleri boncuk mavi
Bir gördüm aşık oldum
bu gelen kimin yari?

Hayat denen bu yolda
Yürürken adım adım
MutluluÄŸu ararken
Birden Ona rastladm

The longing lasted for years
It kept burning in my heart
When I was about to lose all hope
I saw her in front of me

Her eyes are as blue as a blue bead
As soon as I saw her, I fell in love
whose sweetheart is that one who is coming?

On this road called life
While walking slowly
looking for happiness
Suddenly I met her

Hi turkishmiss,

"It was a longing for years" That would sound better:

"The longing lasted for years"

"At the time of losing all hope "
"When I was about to lose all hope"

"Whose darling the one who comes?
I don't understand what you mean in this sentence. Could you say it in different words so that we can see whether it is right?

"While walking step by step
While looking for happiness"

"While walking slowly
looking for happiness"

You tell me, please if any of these suggestions would change the meaning of the original text, since as you know, Turkish is a mystery to me.

I see you edited the text, but still...

"Whose darling that comes?" doesn't make much sense.
As I asked before, could you give the meaning in other words?

I'll set a poll to see if any user has a better idea about the meaning of that line, OK?

"Whose darling that comes?"

I wonder if it can be translated as :

"whose darling would it be ?" or
"whose darling is it that's coming ?" or
"whose darling is approaching ?"

Oh, now I got it!

So, it should read:

Whose darling is that (the one) (who is) coming?

bu gelen kimin yari = whose sweetheart is that one who is coming

boncuk mavi = as blue as a blue bead (used to ward off the evil eye)
