Three dots mean that the text brings Hebrew words in no need of translation.
I would like an expert to translate the text.

1. Some sections are explained in the way of Kara, those are 1, 3; 9, 24; 10, 5; 12, 15. Beginning at 1, 24, the use of Kara becomes more obvious. The comment up to and including 1, 23 probably stems from an Northern French exegete, but the one starting at 1, 24, as well as the comment on the 2nd book of Samuel, it most likely comes from an Italian compiler who didn't know French. He did use the comments by Menachem at Chelbo, Raschi, Kara (hence the frequent use of the word …), but he quotes, as it seems, often not literally and does not include Old French expressions and comparatively few grammatical explanations. On the other hand, the first writer frequently uses French expressions to explain words, he normally doesn't use ... but ... and he includes numerous grammatical annotations. Also the spelling clearly differs between the both specified halves of the so-called Kara'ian comment to Samuel. Also the annotation ... to 1 Sam. 29, 10 ... belongs to the second commentator.
הערות לגבי התרגום
It's a pretty old text, isn't it? (at least 100 years, I'd guess).
It contains quite a lot of typos which makes guessing necessary but I'm quite positive that I mostly understood it right.

Hi Pashikane
This looks like a good translation but my German is not quite good enough to be confident so I have set a poll.

I wonder also if there is not a more specific translation for the word 'Stelle' in this case; 'section' maybe, or something else...

I have made a few minor edits to make the test flow a bit better in English, but nothing which could change the meaning, I think.

Hi,
and thanks. I agree that "section" might fit better.
I read the text again and I'd now change "intensifies" to "becomes more obvious".
