Hi, this is my first thread,
i'm translating a movie, i'm creating the subtitles for personal use, i already translated more than 800 lines, but i'm having problems with about 60.

I tried to request help at wordreference, but my request was denied. I just write in google "translating community" and so is how i get here.

I have all packaged and organizated in a .rar file already uploaded on the net,and also contains a text file of my guesses.

Basically i need 2 things:
that you tell me what exactly the audios say (they're in english), and an optional translation to spanish.

Hope you can understand my situation.

Hello CpuCpu

Your request is very ... special ...
The problem with Cucumis is that the site is optimised for text translations, meaning the only reason to get help is through a special request without the "translation points".

That being said, I'm sure some people around here would be glad to help!

The only problem I see is that the .rar file (containing the whole movie, right?) would be ridiculously large (prove me wrong) and it could be better to simply provide mp3/wav/... recordings using another program.

I've got a decent notion from English and Spanish so if you give me a link I'll give it a shot, if I don't manage to get everything, I suggest sending a message to lilian canale, Lilian is a Spanish and English expert.

Hello Urunghai,
Here is the link of the file(it's only 7mb long):
http://www.gigasize.com/get.php/3198647397/kb.rar

I actually had opened a thread here http://www.cucumis.org/forum_1_f/read_rs_0_3121.html already to request this special translation need.

There are a total of 43 tracks, the list as progressed a lot since i published it, as i received help from other users.
Currently we have deciphered the following:
1,2,3,4,9,6,8,10,11,14,15,18 parcialmente,20,21 parcialmente,23 mas o menos,24,28 mas o menos,29,31 mas o menos,32 mas o menos.

With the most of any other number could help me with, the most glad i'll be, thanks for your reply.

Notes:
-"parcialmente" means that the present translation for that tracks is not finished yet, so you can help me with those too.

Hmm, I keep on getting errors while trying to download the file; I've tried multiple browsers but none of them seems to work ...

Could you maybe use another site, like slingfile.com or filefactory.com, to upload the file?

Well, one thing's for sure - we won't need that search warrant we're trying to get, huh?

2
-I say we take him in and book him right now...
-You know my lawyers will have me out even before you get me to the police station.

3
And by the way, your car is parked illegally, you better get it outta' here before we tow it.

4
-Yah, I know what the mission is.
-Then stick to it, don't be so reckless, Killer Bean!

5
[Chinese] -He say your food taste like ass crack
-What!! Make bean curd out of him!

6
-Yeah Bean, that was a kick-ass party last night, right?
-Yeah, too bad we didn't stay for the whole thing. I bet they had some fuuuuun... Woop woop! *slap*
-You see is easy when you think about it, crime is on a rise, OK? So more guns sell, because criminals, use guns.
-Helloooo, they also use drugs.

7
Oh boy, is my betting average going to go up after this!

8
There was a hit on the warehouse, everyone is dead.

9
-I want you to find him, and destroy him!
-Oh believe me, I will try, but first we have Killer Bean to

deal with. He's somewhere out there and he's coming after yóú.

10
-What about Killer Bean, what do you want me to do?
-Oh nothing, just send him a box of chocolates and tell him thanks for the memories. You idiot! What do you think you should do? Kill him!

11
-Hey did you get the package I sent you?
-Yeah it's eh.. pretty wild stuff.
-*sigh* Our crime lab is getting nowhere with this, what do you make of it?
-Well.. the easy one is the tire tread sample, I tested the residue you sent and the tires are made from silicon steel fiber alloy.

12
-He, must be one sick bean, like he wanted to be found out..
-Yeah or he's bragging, or just playing careless.

13
-Howdy, what will it be?
-Tequila, a tonic.

14
-It's a rough part of town, he always say we should back to the entrance. *tick*
-It doesn't matter who comes in... *tack* Isn't it against police regulation to be drinking during the day?

15
-Yeah, I know about that.
-Really, tell me what you know?-Why don't we cut to the chase; why don't you tell me what yóú know?

16
-Why are you after Cappuccino?
-That's for me to know, and you nót to know...
-Well I know I can't have a crazy vigilante running around shooting on beans.

17
-This is where I can help ya'.
-I don't need help...
-*sigh* Now you sink, I'm bound by the law.

18
But I can't, it's too bad, 'cause I know where the center warehouse is. Not these abandoned warehouses like that one out there. Why don't you pay'm a visit?

19
I control the evidence, and the evidence says it given some rival gang that killed all of Capuccino's beans last night... Or, it could be you.

20
-Killer Bean, remember what I said, we can help eachother.
-Just help yourself out the door.

21
-Who is Shadow Bean?
-He he he, you're in way over your head.
-WHO IS SHADOW BEAN?
-You don't have to yell; I'm right next to ya'.
-Answer me, are there two of yours?

22
-It's a good idea for you to stay down.
-We'll settle this later.
-Oh, you're not as dumb as you look.

23
-So do you think this Killer Bean is a Shadow Bean in operative?
-It sounds like he's certainly good enough to be.

24
-Some dude went in there and killed éveryone, he even killed Cappuccino's nephew!
-Jeez, who was this bean that killed everyone?

25
What this country needs is some serious gun control. I mean we need to think of all the guns, all of them, and just get rid of them... but not my gun.

26
Take cover! (Name), get some help!

27
Oh, I can see we came to the right place. We made short work of these beans. Don't expect the same fight from us, my squad has been with me through hell. I hand selected them myself from the academy 10 years ago, all of them graduated with top honours. I led these beans through 3 tours o'duty, accumulating a total of 15 medals of honor, 11 purple hearts. I'm sure we lost a few good beans, but you should see what we did to the other bloke... *laughter* Well then we went to the business for ourselves. Escort detail for high level dignitaries, hostage extraction, corporate assassinations, pre-active surgical strikes; which was play and search.. and destroy.. Heck, heh, we even robbed a few federal banks when bussiness was slow... So, so this little shit-dig we got here, it's nothing.

28
-Are you going to say something or what?
-Huh? Oh, eh, I'm sorry, I must have totally zoned out on ya'. Woho, my eyes are starting to water.. Hooooo ha ha.. Sorry.

29
-Who are you working for?
-What.. You expect me to just blurt it all out?

30
-Oh yeah, yeah I remember him, he was the one playing the music.
-He always loved his music.
-Ehh, he's dead nów.

31
-Actually, ermm, I seem that my estimated thusses are too soon, I like to stay on top of that stuff.
-Good idea.

32
-But when I joined the Shadow Agency 12 years ago, it was more clear-cut: our job was to neutralize threats for the politicians who paralysed the diplomatic bullshit...
-That's just the way I like it!

33
But before I left, they had me deliver weapons to the very group of beans I had spent several years trying to take down. That was IT for me.

34
You got yourself a few more minutes of life with that story, Dark Bean, but you can't outtalk my trigger finger.

35
And for what I've been hearing, you got a liability to the Agency since the day you started.

36
I had to take the shot. I would have done more with my life than you ever will. Doesn't matter now.

37
-Dispatch.
-This is Cromwell, where's my backup?
-Six squadcars ETA (estimated time of arrival) 3 minutes, two special assault units in 5.
-Give me more.

38
What is the matter, you got the results you wanted, now just step aside and let me by!

39
Make yourself at home, this will keep you safe for the night. Hell, it'll probably keep us safe too, he he.

40
-Wow, hold it, this is a crime scene, no one is allowed on the premises.
-Yeah, nobody ordered no egg foo yong here.
-Where.. is.. Killer.. Bean..
-Killer Bean? We put his ass in the slammer.
-Wait... Who, are yóú?

41
-Commander, thanks for your help. I'm turning in for the night, and I'll be back in the morning.
-Right sir, we'll be here when you get back.

42
Well, at least you're in a fighting mood now.

43
-I quit.
-Don't be rush, think about what you're doing.

I just cheacked the first 20 and they're fine.
There are some minor issues though, not a big deal:

7.- Oh boy, is my betting average going to go up after this!
It think it's "batting average" as there is a baseball pad involved in the situation, your profile says you speak spanish (well, it actually says you speak almost all languages , so i suppose that sentence means "promedio de bateo"

8.- Howdy, what will it be?
What's "howdy", i think it's some sort of greeting, do you know its spanish meaning or an english equivalent?
The context is a bartender asking a client what to give him

All continue checking the remaining

If he's holding a baseball bat, yes, I suppose its batting average/promedio de bate.

Howdy is a sort of greeting indeed, the typical greeting a bartender would use! Can't really come up with a spanish equivalent, I'd suggest "hola"

Hi Urunghai,
I'm glad to tell you that everything it's fine, your interpretation was if not perfect highly accurate.
Thank you for helping me with this, had it not been for you, i wouldn't had finished this translation, as there are not many places, nor much people willing to help these days, this is a great community.
